itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu and Hotel transfer. (1350m)

Yala Peak climbing Course starts with arrival in Kathmandu, one of the vigilant places on earth. In your leisure time visit places of historic importance and walk on narrow roads paved centuries ago.

Day 02-03 Theoretical session on beginners climbing course

The next two days of your stay will be spent in theoretical sessions on beginners climbing course. The required theoretical backgrounds of climbing will equip you with essential knowledge required for the actual ascent.

Day 04 Drive from Kathmandu to Sybrubensi (1550m) (7 hrs.)

The drive from Kathmandu to Sybrubensi takes you one step closer to the mountains and the beautiful green hills along the Trishuli River via Dhunche. En route, you will see the small towns and villages that will feel like home.

Day 05 Trek from Sybrubensi to Lama Hotel (2380m) (5 hrs.)

Stretch your legs! We are starting our climbing course. The Lama Hotel is five hours trek from Sybrubensi. We will be following the course of Bhote Koshi River, one of the high tide river famous for rafting originated in Tibet. The trails go through Bamboo town, otherwise called the home of Red Panda. We will reach our destination Lama Hotel, which is a popular destination.

Day 06 Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang (3430m) via Ghodatabela (3000m) (6 hrs.)

The uphill trek to Langtang is a strenuous trip and it takes 6 hours to reach Langtang. Feel the warmth of the sun’s rays of sunshine beaming through the trees of Rhododendron, hemlock, and oak along the way. The beauty of Rhododendron patches is photogenic, capture it. The Langtang is a thriving place for teahouses and guest house, a heaven closer to Kathmandu.

Day 07 Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gumba (3870m) (6 hrs.)

The easy and short trek to Kyanjin Gumba passes through mountain villages and traditional houses with Mani wall in between. For Cheese lovers, Kyanjin has a small Yak Cheese factory which is worth visiting. The culture and tradition is something fascinating with a royal mountain view.

Day 08 Rest and acclimatization

Get familiar with the environment and weather, prepare yourself for climbing. This place is lively so explore the area, the best place to visit are the cheese factory, take a bite of mountain yak cheese and the old monastery which has very important value for villagers.

Day 09 Trek from Kyanjin Gumba to Yala Peak Base Camp (4600m) (7 hrs.)

On the ninth day, we will hike to Yala Peak base camp, which will take around seven hours. The beautiful mountains are now much closer to you, so enjoy the Mountain View. Get ready for the practical session on climbing course.

Day 10-12 Practical session on beginners climbing course

The next three days will be a practical session on beginners climbing course. Making you ready not only for summiting the Yala Peak but other mountain expeditions too, you will be trained in the mountains by highly trained Sherpa’s and experienced climbers.

Day 13 Yala Peak summit (5500m) and return to base camp (4600m) (7 hrs.)

Summit day is here! Get ready and get prepared for the journey. Check your equipment’s for a final push to the summit. We will begin at a young hour in the morning to the summit and will take around seven hours. From the top of the Yala Peak, the mountain ranges of Dorje Lakpa, Naya Kang, Langtang Lirung and other mountains is worth clicking.

Day 14 Trek from Yala Peak Base Camp to Kyanjin Gumba (3870m) (5 hrs.)

Trek from Yala Peak Base Camp to Kyanjin Gumba takes around five hours in descending the slope. This journey passes through small villages and farmlands. If you didn’t get the chance to visit the monastery and cheese factory last time, visit these places in Kyanjin Gumba.

Day 15 Trek from Kyanjin Gumba to Lama Hotel (2380m) (4 hrs.)

Once again on a descending slope, we are heading towards Lama Hotel through rich and diverse hills. The four-hour trek will lead us to Lama Hotel.

Day 16 Trek from Lama Hotel to Sybrubensi (1550m) (5 hrs.)

Reflect back yourself to see the glow of mountains. We are heading back to Sybrubensi and will take around five hours. Today around evening, we will state farewell to some of our team members and celebrate this moment with them with a farewell party enjoying local drinks and food.

Day 17 Drive to Kathmandu (1350m) by bus or car and transfer to hotel (8 hrs.)

We drive back to Kathmandu and it is the final chance to see the mountains up close. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be checked in to the hotel.

Day 18 Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and farewell dinner and certificate distribution

You will witness the history, culture, tradition and art in our Kathmandu valley as you visit Basantapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath temple. In the evening, enjoy typical Nepali dinner and dance in some Nepali music. The day will end with certificate distribution to all the climbers.

Day 19 Transfer to the airport for final departure or alternatively join other activities
