On your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will be receiving you. We will shortly head to the hotel where you will be briefed about the exciting trip that lies ahead. With the people from all over the world coming for pilgrimage or to summit the greatest heights of the world, you will meet all the mystics here.
Reaching the highest place on earth is as equally challenging and exciting it sounds. This requires knowledge about the difficult terrain, the climate at such height and the drills during the emergency. This would be a good refreshment for the experienced travelers on the trip. We can roam around the city whenever we find time after the sessions.
Ranked as one of the most dramatic airports in the world, Lukla is definite to give you an early adrenaline rush. Flying between the two hills with the mountains on the background and landing on to a short runway, made on top of a cliff is going to give you a memorable flying experience. After we land, we will have a trek to nearby Phakding. Keeping in mind, the end goal to aid acclimatization, we will have a short trek. We will remain for the night in Phakding.
From Phakding to Namche Bazar, it is a trek along the trail where the mountains loom on the background, as will all the journeys in the trip. Every passing mountain will fill us with the motivation to summit the highest peak in the world. Namche is again, a prelude to the expedition to all the highest peaks in Nepal. A mixture of brave mountain climbers from around the world, the place offers a unique blend of indigenous Sherpa culture with the modernity in hospitality and facilities.
Before we head on to another trek, to assist in acclimatization, we will spend a day in Namche Bazar. You can enjoy the internet facility, contact your dear ones from a high altitude of nearly 3500 meters from the sea level. You can also try the local cuisine that is tailored to suit the taste of the foreigners. We spend another night in Namche Bazar.
The mountains looming in the background, totally immersed in the serenity we trail, and now to add on to the mysticism of the place, we will reach Thyangboche to see age-old monasteries. Tengboche monastery is the oldest Gumba in the region. On the background, we will get to enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Tawache. We will stay in Thyangboche for a night.
If it is one of those days when the Sun shows up in its radiant pride, we will see the white get painted in the hue of the rays. The skyward Mount Everest will remind us of the destination throughout the journey and keep us motivated to step up higher and higher. Again, the chilliness in the high Himalayan region will be met with the warm hospitality of the Sherpas in Dingboche. We will stay in Dingboche tonight.
As we reach higher up, we will have to get familiar with the climate. Our purpose of acclimatization is to be comfortable, while we move further from here into the thin air in the high mountainous region. We will spend the next two days in getting used to the climate. We will have short hikes around Dingboche. We will enjoy the Sherpa hospitality until we begin our journey where we will find less and less people.
The grandiose view of Pumori Mountain soon would loom in the background. We will go through the Khumbu valley and take a tough climb to appreciate the glorious view of Mount Nuptse. After very difficult yet energizing trek of 6 hours, we will achieve our goal of the night.
We reach the penultimate destination before we head to the mountain itself. The mighty peak of Mount Everest would keep up to do the hard work before we reach the peak. Soon, views of more mountains would embrace our sight– Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Pumori, Mahalangur Himal, Nuptse, and Khumbutse would seem closer. We will spend next few days in the Everest Base Camp.
Now we will complement the theoretical knowledge that we gathered at the beginning of the journey. The practical session will be a hands-on experience of using ropes, crampons, eights, sticks and other instruments required for the ascent. The difficult journey ahead requires a rigorous and meticulous training.
Presently, we begin perhaps the most difficult and energizing mountaineering ventures on the planet. Each ounce of effort put into the adventure is worth every beautiful view, the steady surge of adrenaline, recollections, and inspiration for a lifetime. Being high over the clouds and being at the highest point of the world is simply surreal.
After achieving the great(est) feat, we will return to the base camp. We will get the glorious feeling of achievement. Today we will spend a night at the base camp enjoying the glorious view of the mountains we conquered along with many other mightier mountains.
We will descend into Namche Bazar through the beautiful trail that we had taken earlier through Dingboche and Thyangboche. After a long journey in the mountains away from the modern world, Namche would seem like a point of return. With facilities of internet and calling, you can talk to your loved ones. You can also enjoy the western cuisine made largely with the locally available resources to refresh your taste buds. We will spend a night in Namche Bazar.
We will again see the mountains on our way back, but this time the feeling of accomplishment will accompany amusement while we gaze at the rough tops of the mountains. Just as we have a final rendezvous so close with the mountains, we will reach Kathmandu. The places that were unexplored on your last visit awaits. You can also shop some souvenirs for your memory and for the dear ones back home.
With the pride of getting to the top of the world and the feeling of I came, I saw I conquered, we will be flying home and bidding farewell to everyone in the journey. Do remember Climbing School to make even more memories in the Himalayas!
Do not hesitage to give us a call. We are an expert team and we are happy to talk to you.
