itinerary

Day 01 International arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)

You will arrive at the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. This city is rich in the diversity of culture and religion existing together in harmony. Our representatives will aid your transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02-03 Theoretical session on Nirvana climbing course

You will get a theoretical session on Nirvana climbing course taken by one of our experts. Through this session, you will receive the theoretical knowledge you will require in order to complete your further journey.

Day 04 Fly to Lhasa (1hrs 30mins) (3700m)

You will take a comfortable flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Lying on an altitude of 3700m, this city is the capital of Tibet. Here you can witness the grandeur of Tibetan culture, tradition and religion in its finest through the people and the city’s famed heritages. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 05 Acclimatization day and discovering Lhasa

You will spend a day getting used to the climate of higher altitude regions. This process is called acclimatization and it is important to prevent probable cases of altitude sickness. In the meantime, you will be able to explore the city of Lhasa through its heritages like Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery, among some.

Day 06 Drive to Shigatse (3900m) (5 hours)

You will take a comfortable drive towards the city of Shigatse. Located at an altitude of 3900m, this city offers you a glorious view of mountains that surround it. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day 07 Drive to Xegar (4000m) (4 hours)

Take a comfortable drive to the city of Xegar from Shigatse. Located at an altitude of 4000m, this city is famous for the Shelkar Chode Monastery which holds significant historical and cultural importance. Overnight in Xegar.

Day 08 Acclimatization day

You will spend the day getting used to the weather in this area. In the meantime, you can explore the city of Xegar and even interact with the locals to get a glimpse of their daily life.

Day 09 Arrival at Chinese Base Camp (5150m)

You will arrive at the Chinese Base Camp located on the foothills of the Everest range. The base camp on the Chinese side lies on an altitude of 5150m. The view from the base camp is impressive, with the surrounding mountains of the Everest range strewn out majestically in front of you. Overnight in Chinese Base Camp.

Day 10-14 Trek to Cho Oyu Base Camp(5600m)

From the Chinese Base Camp, you will take a trail towards the Cho Oyu Base Camp. The Cho Oyu base camp lies at an altitude of 5600m. Here, you will make preparations for your journey to the peak of Cho-Oyu. Overnight in Cho-Oyu Base Camp.

Day 15-16 Practical session on Nirvana climbing course

You will receive a practical session on Nirvana climbing course taken by an expert. Through this session, not only will you be able to put your prior received theoretical knowledge into action, you will also be able to receive further practical knowledge to complete your journey.

Day 17-41 Climbing the north-west face of Cho-Oyu (8201m)

We have set aside a total of 42 days for the ascent of Cho-Oyu peak. Days set aside for rest and acclimatization are also included in this time period. As you ascend towards the peak, battling the geographical terrain and the climate, you will be offered with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains of the Everest range. You will likewise begin your plunge back to the Cho-Oyu base camp.

Day 42 Return trek to road head

You will travel back towards the starting point of your journey.

Day 43 Drive into Nepal

You will take a ride back to Nepal.

Day 44 Arrival in Kathmandu

You will return back to the capital city, Kathmandu. Our delegates will help you back towards your lodging. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 45 Final Departure
