itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

You will be arriving in the capital city, Kathmandu which lies 1300m above sea level. Kathmandu is a city renowned for its unique monuments like Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Durbar Squares which hold great historical and cultural significance. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02-03 Theoretical session on basic climbing course

You will be given basic sessions on climbing. The practical session will include acclimatization in high altitude, equipment and clothing selection, mountain safety and first aid kit will be taught to you on a theoretical level. Similarly, a glimpse of Himalayan geology, weather, and geography will also be included.

Day 04 Fly to Lukla (40 minutes) (2860m), trek to Paiya (Chutok) (2730m) (5-6 hours)

From Kathmandu, you will be taking a flight to Lukla. Situated at a height of 2860m, Lukla is a popular tourist hub, especially to those en route to the Himalayas. Take a trekking trail to Paiya, a small village that lies 5 to 6 hours away from Lukla, at an altitude of 2730m. Overnight in Paiya.

Day 05 Paiya to Panggom (2846m) (5-6 hours)

Take a trail from Paiya to Panggom, a small village that lies at an altitude of 2846m. This trek will take you 5 to 6 hours, all the while enjoying the beautiful view of the mountainous terrain. Overnight in Panggom.

Day 06 Panggom to Ningsow (2863m) (4-5 hours)

From Panggom, take a trail up to Ningsow which lies at an altitude of 2863m. This trek will take you 4 to 5 hours. Overnight in Ningsow.

Day 07 Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2800m) (7-8 hours)

The trek from Ningsow to Chhatra Khola which lies on an altitude of 2800m is highly rewarding with magnificent views of Mera range and Mojang Himal. The trail will take you 7 to 8 hours to tackle. Overnight in Chhatra Khola.

Day 08 Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3691m) (6-7 hours)

Take a trail from Chhatra Khola to Kothe, located at an altitude of 3691m. This trail will take you through forests and will take you a total of 6 to 7 hours. Overnight in Kothe.

Day 09 Kothe to Thaknak (4358m) (3-4 hours)

Thaknak lies 3 to 4 hours away from Kothe. Thaknak, located at an altitude of 4358m is a small developing village with small lodges and shops. To the north of this place lies a glacial lake, Sabal Tsho, with splendid views of the surrounding mountains. Overnight in Thaknak.

Day 10 Thaknak to Khare (5045m) (2-3 hours)

The trekking trail from Thaknak to Khare will take you only 2 to 3 hours. Khare lies at an altitude of 5045m. This trekking trail offers you magnificent views of Charpate Himal. Overnight in Khare.

Day 11-13 Practical session on basic climbing course

In Khare, you will be taking a practical session on basic climbing course. You will be instructed by trained Sherpas, mountain climbers and internationally recognized high altitude instructor to ensure that you are fully equipped to complete your journey to the Mera peak. During the practical session, you will also able to acclimatize yourself before heading to ascent Mera Peak.

Day 14 Khare to Mera High Camp (5780m) (6-7 hours)

From Khare, you will take a trail up to the High Camp which lies on an elevation of 5780m which will take you 6 to 7 hours. You will likewise go through the Mera Base Camp. The Mera High Camp offers you splendid views of Everest and other 8000m mountains. Overnight in Mera High Camp.

Day 15 Mera High Camp to Summit and back to Khare (6461m) (8-9 hours)

On the 15th day, you will begin your move to the Summit from Mera High Camp. Standing at an altitude of 6461m, you will get to see a rare view of Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga – all of which are peaks above 8000m. You will then start your descent from the summit and back to Khare which will take you a total of 8 to 9 hours. Overnight in Khare.

Day 16 Khare to Kothe (3691m) (4-5 hours)

You will take a trail back to Kothe from Khare, passing Thaknak on the way. This trek will take you 4 to 5 hours. Overnight in Kothe.

Day 17 Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4300m) (5-6 hours)

You will climb up to Thuli Kharka which lies at an altitude of 4300m. It will take you around 6 hours. Overnight in Thuli Kharka.

Day 18 Thuli Kharka to Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass (2860m) (5-6 hours)

From Thuli Kharka, you will take a trek back to Lukla through the rocky terrain of Zatrwa La Pass. You will also pass through the Dudh Koshi valley as you finally arrive in Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.

Day 19 Fly to Kathmandu

Booked flight from Lukla will take you back to Kathmandu. Congratulations! Your journey has come to a successful end! We hope for you to join us in other endeavors in the future as well.
