itinerary

Day 01 Arrival Kathmandu (1,350m)

Welcome to Kathmandu! The delegate of Asian Adventure Trips will be at the airport to welcome you. You would be taken to the hotel shortly, where you will be given a brief outline of the tour and the journey that lies ahead. You can go for a walk around the delightful valley that has such a great amount to offer generally and socially. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02-03 Theoretical session on basic climbing course

Take some rest and then we will have a basic sightseeing and short tour in and around the historically and culturally opulent Kathmandu Valley. You can also buy personal items for the trip to the Himalayas. Then we will get engaged in the theoretical course on basic climbing. Since our purpose is to make the tour as inclusive and encompassing as possible, the session would contribute to creating some amount of level playing field amongst the participants.

Day 04 Fly to Lukla (2,800m) then trek to Phakding (2,652m) (40 min flight, 3-4 hours trek)

The 40-minute flight to Lukla is an adventurous one providing you an adrenaline rush as the aircraft makes its way through a passage between two hills. Pined for as one of the world's most emotional and excellent air routes, this is an exciting start and almost apposite reference to the adventure that lies ahead. To acclimatize, we have only a short trek of 3-4 hours today.

Day 05 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) (5-6 hours)

Walking through the coniferous forest with pine trees all around, we shall have multiple opportunities to soothe your senses with the sight of the glittering Mt. Thamserku, sound of the perennially flowing Dudh Koshi River, and the feeling of the precious warmth of the sun whenever we are not covered by the canopy of the forest. We pass through settlements of Monjo, Benkar, Chumoa, Jorsale throughout the trek before reaching the rich trade center of the region, as the name speaks, Namche Bazaar.

Day 06 Namche Bazaar (3,440m): Acclimatization

We will spend a day another day in Namche Bazaar to assist in acclimatization. We can take short hikes to nearby monasteries and explore the rich trade center, which would again be in compliance with the advice by the health experts to aid in acclimatization. Namche Bazaar also boasts several happening places including restaurants, bakeries, alongside it has several ATMs and provision for the internet.

Day 07 Namche Bazaar to Dibuche (4253m) (5-6 hours)

We will take a sharp ascent from Namche through maintained by a local Sherpa. The journey that spans around 5-6 hours would not seem much with the constant majesty of the mountains following us throughout the ups and downs. The close view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse and Everest Mountains look breathtakingly gorgeous and constantly motivate us to further ascent to the peak. We will stay overnight here.

Day 08 Dibuche to Dingboche (4,360m) (5-6 hours)

Another beautiful day traveling through the trails and alpine woods drinking on the cornucopian beauty of the Himalayas. We will pass through several small settlements where we can again get a peek in into the rural Himalayan. Trekking across the famous Imja valley, after around a 5-hour journey, we will reach our destination for the day after a steep climb.

Day 09 Dingboche: Acclimatization

As we go higher, we will need to adjust and get acquainted with the conditions. Hence, in compliance with the recommendations of the health experts, we shall stay and take rest in Dingboche to assist in acclimatization. But it does not stop us from taking short hikes and touring the beautiful settlement.

Day 10 Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m): 5-6 hours

Our adventurous day kicks off by passing through the Khumbu Khola valley. After we get some distance, we can enjoy the view of the grandiose mountain, Pumori. Yaks, a domesticated mountainous ox, soon start accompanying us on our trail. Passing through the Khumbu glacier taking ascend into rough steepness, we will witness the majesty of Nuptse. Soon we start to feel a little short of breath. After around 6-hour trek we reach our destination for the day where we will spend a night.

Day 11 Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m) (7-8 hours)

Our excursion to Gorak Shep begins with a trail through Khumbu Glacier. The stunning view of Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Pumori, Mahalangur Himal, Nuptse, and Khumbutse would welcome us. The mountains keep following and more surprises are due to reaching Gorak Shep. We would witness the picturesque mountains close up to our eyes, including the Mount Everest. If not the peak of the Everest, we will travel some distance from Gorak Shep to reach the Base Camp. After some time, we will return to Gorak Shep to call it a night.

Day 12 Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Lobuche (4940m) (7-8 hours)

After we get prepared for the coldest of temperature which is expected for these climatic reasons, we will start our journey to Kala Patthar. The picturesque mountain ranges accompany us throughout. After quite some hours of ascent, we will reach Kala Patthar. We will picture the all-encompassing view of mountains giving you genuinely, the highest point of the world feeling. Taking again an aesthetically fulfilling route, we will take descend to Lobuche.

Day 13 Lobuche to High Camp (5,400m) (4 hours)

Our day will begin with an excursion from the base camp to the high camp of Lobuche. The four-hour journey would seem completed in no time as we marvel at the Himalayan beauty surrounding us as we trail through the rugged moraine path.

Day 14-16 Practical session on basic climbing course

In order to complement the theoretical knowledge we had gathered at the start of the trip, we shall now be taking a hands-on experience through the practical session. As the group comprises of trekkers with different levels of experience, this will help some to get to the level playing field while for others it will act as a handy revision. No doubt the new trails have their own nuances, hence, even the ones having trekked before would have much to look forward to.

Day 17 Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6119m) and back to High Camp (8-10 hours)

Our efforts will culminate to reach the Summit– the climax of our trip. The journey to the Summit and back to the High Camp would take a good eight to ten hours. However, the panoramic view of mountain ranges of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Everest, Pumori and so on will just make every effort that is put justified. We will come back to the High Camp where we will spend a night.

Day 18 Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche (3930m)

The list of peaks that you are to witness does not end on the day of the summit itself. On our way to Pangboche, you will again be enamored by the grandeur of Thamserku, Kantega, and Pokalde among others. During the spring, the trail would be filled with the beautiful mountain flower-rhododendron. We will reach Pangboche and call it a night there.

Day 19 Pangboche to Namche Bazaar(3440m) (4-5 hours)

From Pangboche, we will have a comparatively shorter trek of around five-hours to Namche Bazaar. We can take look at the mountains that will soon hide after we embark our journey further down from here. Spend your time in taking pictures and enjoying the facilities that Namche offers, the internet is one. We will spend overnight at Namche.

Day 20 Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2800m) (6-7 hours)

We reach where it all started, however, with the feat of reaching new heights, the place would seem quite different to you. While descending, you can capture the new perspective of the same route that was hidden when we traveled earlier. We will achieve Lukla, following a seven-hour trek where we will spend a night.

Day 21 Fly to Kathmandu (40 minutes)

The flight to Kathmandu is again fun-filled. In no time we will reach Kathmandu airport. We can go for a walk around the old valley and shop gifts. We will call it a night in Kathmandu.

Day 22 Final departure

Embracing the beautiful experience and lots of fun memories, you will depart on the twenty-second day. Adieu! Come again.
